My wooden furniture, my battle

Preparation

I started with the idea of making everything myself from resources that I recycle. And I love wood.

When I was studying at the Ecole Du Breuil, I attended a series of lectures on wood and trees organised by Bellastock at the Belleville School of Architecture in Paris. Francis Hallé was one of the fascinating speakers, along with Mickaël Raimbault who built wooden huts high up in the trees and a whole network of ‘treetop paths’ more than 10 metres high.

Wood fascinates me, so I promised myself I’d start making garden furniture. I joined the pallet wood fan groups on Facebook. Pallet wood enthusiasts and professionals inspire me, and I’ve benefited from invaluable advice from Sébastien Mugnier.

I wanted to make the most of my space and verticalise my soilless crops, so I designed this piece of furniture to meet my needs, which now houses over forty plants.
